Insta-Diary: Miami Swim Week 2013

Back from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. Although the 72-hour trip went way too fast, I'm glad I managed to squeeze in as many stops as possible. Just like last year, I put together a selection of Insta highlights from the so-fun-I-miss-it-already experience.

Before the trip, I hit up my go-to mani spot CT Nails #9 by David to dress my nails accordingly. I collaborated with David on creating the ideal Miami setting using a variety of stencils. (Read all about it in this piece I did for Birchbox.) He's a genius, for real. We should make nail wraps out of these bad boys, don't ya think?

After a red eye flight, I landed in my sweet suite at SLS Hotel South Beach and slept for a hundred years before starting a long day of appointments.

Wearing a Topshop crop top, Lovers + Friends shorts and a Vanessa Mooney cage cuff.
One of my favorite perks during this trip was receiving in-room daily hair styling, courtesy of my friends at TRESemmé. Celeb stylist Stacey Ciceron hooked me up with perfect beachy waves using a clipless curling iron along with the brand's Salon Silk Serum and 24-Hour Body Finishing Spray.

At the Raleigh I reunited with my favorite Miami blogstar, Ria Michelle.

Here's Ria, designer Simone Zimmermann, me and one my dearest friends Galena Mosovich at Zimmermann's cocktail event at the Delano.

Also at the Delano was a charming little dinner with Mikoh Swimwear.

A peek backstage at the Aqua Bendita show, where TRESemm√© stylists used cool-girl model Cara Delevingne's deep side part as a source of inspiration.

Wearing a Helmut Lang bra top, a Topshop skirt and custom Made Eyewear sunnies.
Day 2 involved a poolside party hosted by ASOS at the Soho Beach House.

That night, I attended the jaw-dropping runway show for Mara Hoffman, who is just insanely talented and imaginative. Here we are at her after-party. (I mean, the woman glows.)

Wearing a Kelly Wearstler top, Topshop leather shorts and Rebecca Minkoff's Jellybean bag.
On the final day, Galena showed me an awesome time at Freehand Miami, which is a high-end hostel, which is kind of the coolest concept hotel, ever. I love the pattern-play going on here.

Besides giving off really good vibes, Freehand hosts an incredible bar called The Broken Shaker. The drinks were off the hook and made my flight back to LA a very, very smooth ride. Until next time!
