Inside Glow Bio: LA's Vegan Paradise

This week, I paid a visit to my pal Kimberly Snyder at her incredible juice shop, Glow Bio. The celebrity nutritionist and I became fast friends after I interviewed her for this Racked LA story last year, when we realized that we shared a mutual love for kale and mindless entertainment (aka Sex and the City reruns).

Given that I'm a gluten-free vegan living in a city filled with experimental cuisine and temptation, Kimberly's shop is a true safe place, providing 100% organic and 500% delicious options for like-minded individuals.

Here's Kimberly grabbing some juice for us. I'm obsessed with the Detoxifier, which is a refreshing cold-pressed juice of pineapple, cucumber and mint. It's my go-to on crazy-hot days and long trips. (Also, note the shop's A grade posted on the window -- this place is clean as a whistle!)

The goods. The little containers on the left on the second shelf are "Energy in a Spoon" shooters, which comprise of bee pollen and a drizzle of coconut oil. I haven't drank coffee in years, so this is a must when I need a quick zip of energy.

In addition to amazing smoothies (try the Acai Rainforest and Power Protein) and fresh juices, Glow Bio now serves grab-and-go dishes. I'll take one of everything, please!

The Raw Red Pepper Dip with Organic Veggies is the bomb! I love the subtle spice kick, courtesy of cayenne pepper. The dip's photogenic hue is pretty wonderful, too.

Next up was the Oil-Free Kale Salad. Now, I consider myself somewhat of a kale salad connoisseur, so when I say this dish is out of this world, trust me. The hearty avocado massaged into the kale combined with a hint of lemon and seasoning offers an epic explosion of flavors in your mouth. I could eat this every single day.

The best thing about Glow's dishes is that they're filling but never food coma-inducing, so there's always room for one more bite of healthy deliciousness. We capped our feast off with this Sprouted Quinoa Tabouli, which was fluffy, flavorful and fantastic for the palette. Later that night, I curled up with my Chia Seed Delight, which is a heavenly sweet treat of chia and cacao goodness. Go Glow!

Glow Bio is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday through Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
