Palm Springs: The Perfect Pre-NYFW Retreat

This past Labor Day weekend, I decided to prepare for the impending New York Fashion Week madness by escaping to Palm Springs. My husband and I stayed at the technicolor playground known as The Saguaro Palm Springs, which made for a festive 72 hours. I also teamed up with Gilt to 'gram my adventures, which was a chill way to connect with a new crew of tech-savvy travelers.

As I noted in my Gilt 'gram, my goal on this trip was to look like a walking postcard. My normally all-black-everything self got really into and brought along some ideal color-punched pieces from ASOS, Paul and Joe Sister, Lovers + Friends and Joyrich.

This ASOS tankini was a serious staple this summer.

Attempted sassy shot derailed by a Paul Frank photobomb.

Hotel bed-jumping tradition in action.

After pool partying and bed-jumping, we hit up Saguaro's El Jefe bar to catch tunes by Alf Alpha. We danced and people watched the night away.

The next day was dedicated to grubbing, shopping and posing with flowers.

I also got to pose with the "Forever Marilyn" sculpture, which was definitely a favorite moment.

Another favorite: eating a million times at Palm Greens Cafe, our desert health food obsession.

Shopping for home decor treasures was Estate Sale ETCETERA was a must.

The Instagram-ability at picturesque Saguaro was unreal. I'll definitely be staying there during next year's Coachella. Chat soon! x
